Hey guys, it’s your boy back with another story, and today, it’s about how I scored a pair of those sweet, sweet Mutombo shoes. You know, the ones from Adidas? Yeah, those.

So, it all started with me just casually browsing the internet, looking for some new kicks. I was scrolling through pages, and nothing was really catching my eye. But then, bam! I saw them – the Adidas Mutombo White Black Red. They looked so fresh, so clean. I immediately knew I had to have them.
The Hunt Begins
First thing I did was hit up eBay. I figured, it is a pretty big place, right? I typed in “Adidas Mutombo White Black Red” and boom, tons of listings popped up. It was like a goldmine, but also a bit overwhelming. I saw prices ranging from like 19 bucks to a whopping 555! Crazy, right?
- Started checking out the cheaper options first, naturally.
- Found a pair for $45. Size 10. Not my size, sadly.
- Spotted a couple of size 9s going for 100. Still too small.
- Saw this “Rare Adidas Dikembe” listing for about $115. Tempting, but I wasn’t sure what made it so “rare”.
Digging Deeper
I wasn’t giving up that easily. I decided to check out other places. I remembered hearing about GOAT, so I headed over there. They had some Mutombo 2 shoes, which looked pretty dope, but not exactly what I was looking for. Then I stumbled upon Flight Club. They had a decent selection of Adidas Mutombo sneakers. But nothing really grabbed me or they were way too expensive.
The Breakthrough
Feeling a little discouraged, I almost gave up. But then, I remembered reading something about a giveaway on Nice Kicks. “Win a pair of Dikembe’s adidas Mutombos,” it said. I thought, “Why not?” I entered the giveaway, fingers crossed. They also had some info on where to buy them and some price history, which was pretty cool.
After a while, even though I did not win the giveaway, I did a bit more digging based on the info from Nice Kicks, and finally, I found a decent seller who got a pair of the original white, black, and red ones in my size! I messaged the seller, we chatted a bit, and I managed to snag them for a pretty good price!

So yeah, that’s my story of how I got my hands on a pair of Mutombo shoes. It took some time, some searching, and a bit of luck, but I finally got them! They are now a prized part of my collection. Stay tuned for more sneaker adventures, folks!
