Okay, so, I’ve been playing Fallout 4 for a while now, and I’ve been having some trouble finding enough aluminum to craft all the things I want. I know, I know, it sounds like a noob problem, but it’s been a real pain. I’m going to tell you guys about my whole ordeal.

So, first, I started scavenging like crazy. I went through every location I could think of, picking up every aluminum can, surgical tray, and TV dinner tray I could find. I even remembered reading somewhere that Vault 95 has a ton of aluminum, over 115 pieces, they said! So I headed over there and looted the whole place. It was a decent haul, but not enough.
Then I remembered the Fort Hagen Command Center. I read that the tunnel’s west exit has about 108 pieces of aluminum. Off I went again! I searched every nook and cranny, and yeah, there was a good amount there, but still not as much as I needed. This aluminum hunt was turning into a full-time job! Then I hit up Mahkra Fishpacking. That place is loaded with trays, maybe more than 80 or so. I grabbed them all.
Next, I decided to try a different approach. I started hitting up traders. I heard that Arturo in Diamond City has shipments of 50 aluminum, so I paid him a visit. Scored a good amount there. Then I went to Goodneighbor and talked to some dude named Rufus. He had a shipment of 25. Not bad, not bad. I even checked out the Vault 88 trader, but they only had one random shipment, and it wasn’t even aluminum that time. Talk about bad luck.
After that, I was getting a bit desperate. I started looking for specific locations where aluminum cans spawn. Someone on some forum mentioned the Federal Ration Stockpile, just south of the main road near Wicked Shipping Fleet Lockup. I went there and found a bunch of cans, but it still wasn’t doing the trick. I wanted to build some large settlements, and I was running very low on aluminium, man.
I even tried some of those out-of-game methods I read about. Not my style, but I was getting desperate, you know? But hey, at least now I know that aluminum is pretty evenly distributed across the Earth’s surface, with some areas like China having more. Who would’ve thought?

At the end of the day, I managed to gather a decent amount of aluminum, but it took a lot of effort. I learned that scavenging, trading, and knowing specific locations are all key to finding aluminum in Fallout 4. It’s a grind, but it’s doable. And hey, at least my settlements are looking pretty sweet now!
