Fallen Aasimar Names and Backstories: How to Make Them? Get Inspired and Create Yours!

Must read

Okay, so, today I tried to create a Fallen Aasimar character, let me tell you, it was quite an experience.

Fallen Aasimar Names and Backstories: How to Make Them? Get Inspired and Create Yours!

First, I started by brainstorming the character’s concept. I thought, “What if this Aasimar was once a proud warrior of the light, but fell from grace somehow?” That sounded pretty cool, and it gave me a good starting point.

Next, I needed a name. I dug around the internet for some Aasimar name generators and found a few interesting ones. Some suggestions were “Aballon,” “Akemi,” “Aritian,” and “Aurelio.” They all sounded very celestial and fitting. But I wanted a more unique name, so I decided to take inspiration from the name “Melinoe” that I had stumbled upon. I changed it a bit and came up with “Malachi.” I also thought it would be cool to give him a human family name, “Viridian,” to reflect a connection to the mortal world.

Then I moved on to the character’s backstory. I imagined that Malachi Viridian was once a protector of the innocent, a shining beacon of hope. But then, something happened. Maybe he made a mistake, a grave error in judgment, or perhaps he was betrayed or disillusioned. I wanted this fall to be significant, something that would really shake him to his core. So, I wrote that he lost faith in his celestial guide and turned away from the light, becoming a Fallen Aasimar.

After that, I had to choose a class. I read somewhere that Fallen Aasimar are good Paladins because they get a strength and charisma boost. It sounded like fun. Then I picked the Oath of Vengeance, figuring it fit well with his fallen nature. He’s now driven by a thirst for revenge against those who wronged him or to right the wrongs he sees in the world.

With the class chosen, I started fleshing out his personality. I pictured Malachi as a brooding, stoic figure, haunted by his past but still clinging to a glimmer of hope for redemption. He’s not evil, but he’s definitely not the goody-two-shoes he used to be. He’s more of an anti-hero now, walking a fine line between light and darkness.

Finally, I thought about how he looks. Since he’s a Fallen Aasimar, his appearance should reflect that. I imagined him with dark, almost black hair, piercing grey eyes that seem to see right through you, and a lean, muscular build. I also gave him a visible scar or two, reminders of his past battles and his fall from grace. I read that Fallen Aasimar might change their complexion, so I pictured him with slightly darker skin than a typical Aasimar, maybe a bit ashen or pale.

  • Name: Malachi Viridian
  • Class: Paladin (Oath of Vengeance)
  • Personality: Brooding, stoic, driven by revenge, but with a glimmer of hope for redemption.
  • Appearance: Dark hair, piercing grey eyes, lean build, a few scars, slightly darker or ashen skin.

And that’s how I created my Fallen Aasimar character, Malachi Viridian. It was a fun process, and I’m pretty happy with how he turned out. I think he’s a complex and interesting character with a lot of potential for roleplaying and storytelling.

Hope that helps someone who also wants to make a similar character, it was pretty fun!
