Dual SMG meta: Is it the best weapon choice right now?

Must read

Alright, so I wanted to mess around with a dual SMG setup in Warzone. You know, go full-on action movie style. I did some digging and saw that the Jackal PDW and the Kompakt 92 were supposedly the top dogs for SMGs right now.

Getting Started

First things first, I hopped into the Gunsmith. I figured I’d start with the Jackal PDW since it seemed to be the popular choice.

  • I slapped on attachments that boosted the hip-fire accuracy. I mean, if I’m running two of these things, aiming down sights is kinda out the window, right?
  • Extended mags were a must. More bullets, more better.
  • I also focused on recoil control, even though it’s hip-fire, less wild spraying seemed like a good idea.

Then I did the same kind of setup for the Kompakt 92, really just mirroring the attachments to keep things consistent between the two.

Jumping into a Match

Okay, theory is one thing, but I needed to see this in action. I loaded up a Resurgence match, grabbed my loadout, and started hunting.

Initially, it felt…weird. Like, my brain was screaming, “Aim down sights!” But I resisted, I’d committed to running this hip-fire dual-wield, by golly.

Getting the Hang of It

After a few, uh, spectacular failures – mostly me running into rooms and getting shredded before I could even react – I started to get a feel for it.

  • Close-quarters was king. Obviously. Trying to engage anyone beyond spitting distance was just a waste of ammo.
  • Movement was key. I started sliding and jumping around corners, basically trying to be as unpredictable as possible.
  • Pre-firing became my friend. The moment I thought someone was around a corner, I just started hosing bullets.

The Results?

Honestly? It was a blast. Once I got the hang of staying in super close range and pre-firing like a maniac, I was racking up kills. It’s not exactly a “meta” strategy for winning every match, but for pure, chaotic fun? Absolutely.

I wouldn’t recommend this for your ranked climb, but if you want to feel like a bullet-spraying action hero for a few matches, give dual SMGs a try. Just be prepared for a learning curve…and maybe a few frustrated teammates.
