Okay, so “daring diva” – sounds fancy, right? I wanted to give this whole “bold and glamorous” look a shot. I’m no makeup artist, but hey, gotta start somewhere.
First, I gathered all my makeup stuff. I mean everything. I think I even found some eyeshadow from, like, five years ago. Probably shouldn’t have used that, but oh well.
The Prep Work
- I washed my face, obviously. Clean canvas and all that.
- Then, I slapped on some moisturizer. Gotta keep the skin happy, even under all that makeup.
- Primer came next. I’m still not entirely sure what primer does, but everyone says to use it, so I did.
The “Daring” Part
This is where things got interesting. I decided to go for a really bold, smoky eye. I’ve seen those tutorials online, and they make it look so easy. It’s…not.
I started with a light, shimmery eyeshadow all over my lid. So far, so good. Then, I grabbed a darker shade, a deep purple, and tried to blend it into the crease. Keyword: tried. It ended up looking a bit more like a bruise than a smoky eye.
I kept blending, though. And blending. And blending some more. I think I spent a good 20 minutes just on that. Eventually, it started to look…okay. Not great, but definitely not a bruise anymore.
Next up: eyeliner. I opted for a winged liner, because why not go all out, right? This was probably the hardest part. My hands were shaking, and I definitely messed up a few times. But, with the help of some makeup remover and a lot of patience, I managed to get a somewhat decent wing on both eyes.
The “Diva” Finishing Touches
I added some mascara, a lot of it, to really make my eyes pop. I also have that step to apply some fake lashes, and I messed with the glue.
Then, I moved on to the lips. I chose a bright red lipstick, because nothing says “diva” like a bold red lip. I carefully apply that and get the pretty lip done.
Finally, I sprayed some setting spray all over my face, hoping that all my hard work wouldn’t melt off the second I stepped outside. I hope everything could last longer.
The final result? Well, it wasn’t perfect, but it was definitely daring. And you know what? I felt pretty good. Maybe not quite a diva, but definitely a little bolder than usual. I think I’ll try this again sometime, maybe with a little less purple eyeshadow next time.
