Alright, so, the Chicago Cubs. Man, what a season, right? Ended up kinda meh, not gonna lie. Didn’t make the playoffs, bummer. But, hey, new season, new hopes, and all that jazz. So, I dug into what the Cubs might be up to this offseason, and let me tell you, it’s been a ride.
First off, I started by checking out what happened at the end of the 2024 season. They brought in Craig Counsell as the new manager, and everyone was all hyped up. But, yeah, it didn’t exactly go as planned. Still, I kept my eyes on news. I kept reading articles and all of that stuff, trying to understand what is happening with them.
Then, I focused on this Jed Hoyer guy, the big boss over at the Cubs. Seems like he’s under some pressure, you know? This next season, 2025, could be his make-or-break year. I started listing down some moves he made. And some of the names like Bellinger and David Ross was mentioned. Man, this is some kind of big deal. The Bellinger news came out, and it was like, “Okay, now we kinda know what direction they’re heading.”
I spent hours, seriously, just browsing through what they call the “hot stove” news. You know, all the rumors and stuff about trades and signings. It’s like a soap opera for baseball fans. I made a list of all the big moves, trying to figure out what it all means for the Cubs.
Here’s what I found out:
- Counsell’s first season didn’t go great, but they’re sticking with him. I guess they see something in him, you know?
- Bellinger is a big deal. Whether they sign him or not, it’s gonna change their plans big time.
- Hoyer made some bold moves. One of them being some guy named Tucker. I read that some people liked it.
- They seem to have a lot of faith in David Ross. I guess they really want to see how things will go.
I even tried to rank Hoyer’s top 5 moves. It’s tough, man. A lot of these things are kinda risky, you know? Like, if this doesn’t work out, who knows what’ll happen to the Cubs, and to Hoyer himself.
So, yeah, that’s my deep dive into the Cubs’ hot stove. It’s been interesting, to say the least. I’ll keep following along, see how it all plays out. Maybe next season will be their year, who knows? But one thing’s for sure, it’s never boring being a Cubs fan.
