Okay, so I’ve been following boxing for a while now, and the names Crawford and Benavidez always get people talking. I decided to dig into one of their fights myself and see what the fuss was all about.
I started by watching some interviews. In one, Crawford was talking about his toughest fights. He mentioned this guy Egidijus, but also Gamboa. Apparently, Gamboa was super quick, darting in and out, making Crawford miss by just an inch. This Crawford guy, he’s 37 and hasn’t lost a single fight yet. 41 wins, 31 by knockout, and he’s been the champ in not just one, but two weight divisions.

Then I moved on to their actual fight. It was a big deal, with lots of tension leading up to it. I watched the whole thing, and man, it was intense. This was for the WBO welterweight title, and a lot of people were there to see it.
- Round 1: Both fighters came out strong. Felt each other out, you know? A few jabs here and there.
- Rounds 2-5: Crawford started to show his skill. Landing more punches, moving well. Benavidez was tough, but he wasn’t throwing enough back.
- Rounds 6-9: More of the same. Crawford was just dominating. Benavidez looked like he was just trying to survive.
- Round 10: Benavidez had a small moment, landed a few, but it wasn’t enough.
- Round 11: Crawford was just picking him apart. You could see it was almost over.
- Round 12: Boom! Crawford finished it. A TKO. Benavidez was done.
After watching the whole fight, I gotta say, Crawford was just on another level. He controlled the pace, landed the bigger shots, and was just smarter in the ring. I heard something about Benavidez getting shot once when he bent down, maybe that played a part, who knows. But yeah, Crawford was just too good in this one. That’s my take on it. Pretty straightforward, right?
