Clark Kent Is Superman: A Look At His Journey From Smallville Boy To Superhero

Must read

Okay, so, I’ve been wanting to get into this whole Superman thing, and I figured, why not start with “Smallville”? I mean, it’s the origin story, right? And everyone talks about it.

So, I got my hands on the entire series. Ten seasons, wow! That’s a commitment. I started watching, and at first, I was a little lost. I saw this baby, like, literally a baby, crashing to Earth in a spaceship. That was wild. Turns out, that’s him, that’s baby Superman, or Kal-El, as they call him on his home planet, Krypton.

Then, boom, he’s being raised by this nice couple on a farm, Jonathan and Martha Kent. They named him Clark. And this kid, Clark, he’s growing up, and he’s different. He’s got these powers, like, super strength, and he can see through things, and later on, he even flies. It was cool to see him discovering all that stuff.

The Kents, they’re good people. They taught Clark to be responsible, to use his powers to help people, not to show off or hurt anyone. You could see how much he struggled, wanting to be normal, but also wanting to do good.

I watched him go through high school, deal with friends, and even fall in love with this girl, Lois Lane. It’s a whole teenage drama, but with superpowers. He’s trying to fit in, but he’s also fighting these bad guys, some of them from his home planet. And there’s this whole prophecy thing about him saving the world, and this big bad guy called Darkseid.

I have to admit that I got really hooked. I mean, it’s not just about the superpowers, which are awesome, but it’s also about this guy, Clark, becoming a hero. He’s figuring out who he is, and what he’s meant to do. That made me feel so excited.

I finally finished the whole series, and man, what a ride! It jumped forward seven years at the end. Clark and Lois are finally getting married, and he’s fully accepted his destiny as Superman.

Now, I really understand why people love Superman. It’s not just the powers, it’s the journey, the heart, and the hope he represents. I’m definitely going to check out more Superman stuff after this. Maybe the comics, or the movies. Any suggestions?
