So, today I wanted to mess around with the Spanish Division 2 table. It’s something I’ve been meaning to check out for a while now, and I finally got around to it.

First, I started by looking up the current standings. I just googled “spanish division 2 table” and a bunch of sites came up. Easy enough. I clicked on a few of them to see what information they had. They all seemed pretty similar, showing the team rankings, points, wins, losses, and draws. Some even had home and away records, which was pretty cool.
After I got a general overview, I wanted to see how many teams get promoted to La Liga each year. Turns out, it’s three. The top two teams automatically go up, and the third team is decided by a play-off. This play-off is between the teams that finished in 3rd to 6th place. But, if one of those teams is a reserve team, they can’t be promoted, which makes sense.
Then, because of my random mind, I decided to look up some specific team stats. I saw that FC Barcelona had 100 points in the 2012/2013 season. I also noticed a team called “Legans” with some stats like 14 wins, 8 draws, and 7 losses. I’m not sure about these numbers are correct or not, anyway, it is a good practice for me.
Finally, I just browsed through a few more sites. I found some that had results and fixtures, which is useful if you want to follow the league closely. Overall, it was a pretty straightforward process. I didn’t really run into any issues, and I learned a bit more about how the Spanish Division 2 works.
- Started by searching for the current table.
- Checked out a few different websites for the information.
- Found out that three teams get promoted to La Liga.
- Looked up some random team stats from past seasons.
- Browsed through more sites for results and fixtures.
It wasn’t a super in-depth analysis or anything, but it was a fun little dive into the Spanish Division 2 table. Maybe next time I’ll try to find some more detailed statistics or historical data. Now I’m going to watch some real matches.

This is my note for this practice, if you are interesting with Spanish football, I’m very happy to discuss more with you.
