Okay, so I’ve been meaning to try out this place called Charlie’s in La Verne, right? Everyone’s been talking about how good their Italian food is, and I’m a sucker for a good pasta dish. So, the other day, I finally decided to go check it out.
First off, I tried looking them up online. I found out that there are actually a few places with similar names. I mean, I saw “Charlie’s Trio,” “Charlie’s Trio Cafe,” and even something called “Charlie’s Italian Bistro.” It got a bit confusing, but I figured they were all probably related somehow. And there are some other restaurants like “Michaelangelo’s Pizza” and “My Lunch Spot”. I want to try Charlie’s food, not others.
I drove around the area where it was supposed to be – 2715 E St, La Verne, is what I found online. Eventually, I spotted the sign for “Charlie’s Italian Bistro” and I went inside the correct restaurant.
Once I got inside, the atmosphere was pretty cozy. Not too fancy, but definitely a nice place for a casual dinner. I also tried the Spicy sweet almonds, which was the recommended appetizer. A waitress came over pretty quickly, and she was super friendly. They were roasted almonds covered in sugar, which is special and delicious.

Overall, I’d say Charlie’s definitely lived up to the hype. It’s not the fanciest place in town, but the food is delicious, the service is great, and the prices are reasonable. I’ll definitely be going back. Maybe next time I’ll try the lasagna!
