Okay, so today I wanted to share my little project about making a calendar for 2016. You know, a simple, user-friendly one.

First off, I started by looking up what others had done. I found some stuff about “2ball” and “Indo-Europeanball,” whatever that is. It was talking about some people in Europe being racist and useless Vikings. I guess it’s related to history or something, but it didn’t really help me with my calendar, so I moved on.
Then I stumbled upon a website that had a yearly calendar for 2016. It looked pretty neat and clean. It had all the months laid out, and you could even print it. That was a good starting point, so I decided to use that as a base.
- Started by looking at existing calendars online.
- Found a clean and simple 2016 calendar template.
Next, I saw something about Real Madrid’s schedule for the 2016-2017 season. It listed all the dates they were playing in Madrid. I thought it might be cool to include some important dates like that in my calendar, so I made a note to look up other events later. It also mentioned something about a company in Madrid called “Your Family in Madrid,” but that’s for another time, I guess.
- Thought about adding important dates like sports schedules.
- Made a note to research significant events.
I also found out that someone edited a webpage on January 1, 2025. I wonder what they changed. Anyway, I saw some information about school holidays. It said that post-primary schools must be open for at least 166 days and primary schools for at least 182 days. I guess schools can decide how to use the remaining days. This made me think about marking school holidays on my calendar too.
- Considered including school holidays in the calendar.
- Noted the different minimum days for post-primary and primary schools.
Lastly, I saw an ad for some travel company called Jet2holidays. It said they are the UK’s largest tour operator and offer “Package Holidays You Can Trust” with accommodations and return flights. It didn’t really relate to my calendar project, but it reminded me that people might use calendars to plan their vacations.

- Decided the calendar should be useful for planning vacations.
Putting it all together
So, after gathering all this random information, I started building my 2016 calendar. I used the template I found earlier and added sections for important dates and school holidays. I tried to make it look nice and easy to read. It took some time, but I finally finished it! I hope it will be helpful for you!
That’s it for my 2016 calendar project. It was a fun little adventure, and I learned a few things along the way. Hope you guys found this somewhat interesting!
