Well, lemme tell ya, this all star game format 2024, it’s somethin’ else. They done changed it all up, like stirrin’ a pot of beans that’s been cookin’ the same way for years. Now, they got this new way of doin’ things, and I reckon it’s gonna be a sight to see.
So, they got these 24 all star players, right? Good players, the best of the bunch. Used to be, they’d split ’em up, East vs. West, like two gangs fightin’ over a chicken bone. But not anymore! This year, they gonna take them 24 fellas and split ’em into three teams. Eight players on each team, like plantin’ rows of corn, gotta keep ’em even, ya know?

- Another team from that Rising Stars game.
- Playin’ to a target score, like a race to see who can shell the most peas.
And then, they got another team. A fourth team, made up of the young’uns who win that Rising Stars Challenge. Them young fellas, full of piss and vinegar, gonna join the big dogs in a tournament. A real showdown, like when we used to have them pie-eatin’ contests at the county fair. It’s a single-elimination tournament. You lose, you’re out, like a bad egg in a basket. Gotta bring your best game, or you’re goin’ home cryin’ to your mama. It ain’t like the old days, just playin’ a regular game, four quarters and that’s that. This new format, they playin’ to a target score. First team to get there, they win. Like a race, I reckon.
They say this new way gonna be more excitin’. The old way, with the East vs. West, folks was sayin’ it was borin’. Like watchin’ paint dry, or watchin’ a hen lay an egg. Not much fight in ’em, no defense. Just a bunch of fellas runnin’ around, showin’ off. Commissioner fella, that Adam Silver, he weren’t too happy with it. Said they needed to make it more fun to watch, more competition. Like a good ol’ fashioned barn raisin’, everyone workin’ together, puttin’ on a show. He wants a good show for the fans in 2024 NBA all-star game. Wants ’em jumpin’ outta their seats, hollerin’ and screamin’, not sittin’ there snoozin’ like an old hound dog on a summer afternoon.
They gonna have two teams play in one semifinal, and the other two in another. Like bracketin’ in a horseshoe tournament, ya see? Winners play each other, and the last team standin’, they the champs. They say there’s prize money too. A little somethin’ somethin’ for the winners, like a blue ribbon at the fair for the best hog. Makes ’em wanna play harder, I reckon. Gives ’em somethin’ to fight for, besides just braggin’ rights.
This NBA All-Star Game, it’s a big deal, ya know. Lots of folks watchin’, all over the world. Used to be, they’d just play it like a normal game. Four quarters, East vs. West, simple as that. But last year, one of them coaches, fella named Michael Malone, he said it was the worst game ever. Worse than a rainy day at a picnic, I reckon. So they had to change somethin’. They said the 2024 NBA All-Star Game will air on TNT for the fans in United States. You can watch it on your TV if you have it. It should be better than last year’s game.
So, this new all star game format 2024, it’s a whole new ball game, as they say. Three teams of eight, plus the young’uns from the Rising Stars. Playin’ to a target score, with prize money on the line. It’s gonna be somethin’ to see, that’s for sure. Like a fox in the henhouse, stirrin’ things up. I reckon we’ll just have to wait and see how it all plays out. It’s gonna be a real hootenanny, I tell ya. A real hootenanny indeed.
This 2024-25 season in San Francisco, they decided to change the all star game format. I don’t know much about this Mase guy, but some folks are talking about him and this new format. Seems like a big change. Big change indeed. Hope it will be a good game. I think it will be a good game.
