Okay, so, I got really into this whole “Bowl Selection Show 2023” thing. I’ve been following college football for years, and this is like the Super Bowl of figuring out who plays who in the postseason. It’s a big deal, you know?
First off, I started my day by clearing my schedule. I mean, you can’t just casually watch this. It’s called “The Granddaddy of Them All” for a reason, right? So, I made sure I had no meetings, no errands, nothing. Just me, my couch, and the TV.
Getting Ready
I went online and saw that the College Football Playoff (CFP) Selection Show was going to be live at noon ET. I checked a couple of places to make sure I knew where to watch it. It turned out it was on ESPN. I thought about finding it online, but then I figured, nah, I’ll just watch it on regular TV. Old school, you know?
The Show Begins
When the show started, I was glued to the screen. They started talking about all these teams and who might get picked. There are like 43 bowl games, which is insane! I grabbed some snacks and just started watching, trying to guess along with the commentators.
I saw there was some live thing going on about the matchups and the games for all 41 bowl and College Football Playoff games. It was pretty intense. They said it was the end of the Rivalry Week, and now it was all about the bowls. It was kinda like the end of a chapter and the start of a new one.
My Reactions and Thoughts
- Excitement: Every time they announced a game, I was like, “Oh, that’s gonna be a good one!” or “No way, they got matched up?”
- Predictions: I was making all these predictions in my head, like who would win which game. Some of them were pretty obvious, but others were like, total toss-ups.
- Disappointments: Of course, not every team I liked got into the games I wanted them to. But that’s part of it, right? There’s always next year.
After the show, I spent some time looking at the complete schedule for the postseason. I started circling the games I absolutely couldn’t miss. I mean, some of these matchups are going to be epic!
So yeah, that was my day. Pretty geeky, I know, but I loved it. Now I’ve got a whole bunch of games to look forward to, and I can’t wait to see how it all plays out. It’s going to be a wild ride, and I’m here for it!
