So, I gotta share this little adventure I had today. I needed to check out the arrivals at Blue Grass Airport. You know, just one of those days where you’re waiting for someone, or maybe you’re just curious about the flights coming in. Anyway, I decided to do some digging and see what was up.

First things first, I grabbed my phone and opened up the browser. I went to my go-to app for this sort of stuff and looked for a “Flight Status” tab, I remember that I can check flight status on this app. I typed in “Lexington” as my destination, and put in today’s date. I wanted to see all the flights landing today.
After I hit enter, the app showed me a whole list of flights. It was pretty cool to see all the different airlines and where they were coming from. I saw flights from all over, some from nearby cities and others from way further away.
But I didn’t stop there. I also tried another method. I opened the website of a specific airline, I wanted to double-check if this method is also available. I logged in with my details and found where to enter my PNR code – that’s the Passenger Name Record. I don’t have a PNR code for today’s flight, but I just wanted to make sure I knew where to find the flight status information using this method.
I also found out some neat info about the airport itself. It’s called Blue Grass Airport, and its code is LEX. Apparently, it’s about 6 miles west of downtown Lexington. That’s a fun fact for ya! I saw people on internet also use other code like KLEX, ICAO for this airport, so many codes for an airport.
Here’s a little something I learned about arrival times:

- If you’re coming from another country, it usually takes about an hour to get through passport control and grab your luggage at Blue Grass Airport.
- For domestic flights, it’s quicker since you don’t need to go through passport control.
So, that was my little exploration of Blue Grass Airport arrivals today. It’s always interesting to see what flights are landing and where people are coming from. Plus, I learned a few new things about the airport and how to check flight statuses. Hope you found this little journey as interesting as I did!
