Alright, so today was Beldum Community Day in Pokémon Go, and let me tell you, it was a bit of a scramble! I almost forgot about it, to be honest, until my friend texted me a reminder. So, first things first, I grabbed my phone and made sure it was fully charged. No way was I going to run out of juice in the middle of catching those little steel guys.
Next, I loaded up on Poké Balls. I had a decent stash, but I figured I’d need a ton more, especially if the shiny rates were boosted like they usually are for Community Days. I spun a few PokéStops on my way to the park to top up, just in case.
Heading to the Park
The park is my go-to spot for these events. There are tons of PokéStops, and usually, a lot of other players are around, which means more lures and more spawns. I got there a little after the event started, and sure enough, the place was buzzing. Beldum were everywhere!
I popped a Lucky Egg and a Star Piece right away. Gotta maximize that XP and Stardust, you know? Then, I just started walking around, tapping on every Beldum I saw. The first hour was pretty good. I caught a bunch, got some good IV ones, and even snagged a couple of shinies! They’re this cool silver color with gold accents – super sleek.
The Grind
- Catch, catch, catch!
- Check IVs.
- Transfer the low-stat ones.
- Keep the high IV and shiny ones!
After the first hour, things slowed down a little. I think most of the people in the park had already gotten their fill. But I kept at it. I wanted to make sure I had enough candy to evolve a few Beldum into Metagross and get that special Community Day move, Meteor Mash. It’s a beast of a move, so it’s totally worth it.

Finally, by the end of the event, I had enough candy. I picked my highest IV Beldum and a couple of the shinies, hit that evolve button, and watched them transform into these awesome, powerful Metagross. And yes, they all got Meteor Mash! Mission accomplished.
It was a pretty successful Community Day, all things considered. I got some great Pokémon, a ton of XP and Stardust, and had a good time walking around the park. Now, I’m just looking forward to using my new Metagross in battles!
