Alright, let’s talk about what I did today. It’s all about the Bahrain Grand Prix practice, specifically the first session, so bear with me.
First thing in the morning, I jumped online to catch the live stream. I mean, who wouldn’t want to see these cars in action, right? So, I tuned into the stream, grabbed my coffee, and settled in.
Daniel Ricciardo nailed it with a lap time of 1.32.869. I’m no expert, but that seemed pretty darn fast to me. I made a note of that, thinking I might need to look into what makes a lap time “good” later.
Then I did some digging. From what I gathered, they usually start with the soft compound tires, then switch to the hard ones around lap 13 to 19. After that long stretch on the hards, they go back to the softs for a final push. Seems like a solid strategy, but I’m just going by what I read. I will do a double-check later when I have some time to dive deep into the details.
Watched the highlights of the first two free practice sessions. It was a good way to see all the important stuff without sitting through the whole thing. I should probably find a website that has reliable race highlights for future races.
