Okay, so I’ve been waiting for this game, Assassin’s Creed Shadows, to drop, right? And you know how it is these days – if you’re really hyped, you gotta pre-order to get those sweet, sweet bonuses. So, that’s exactly what I did. But let me tell you, it wasn’t as straightforward as I thought it would be.
The Hunt Begins
First off, I started looking around to see where I could even pre-order this thing. Turns out, not every place had it up for pre-order yet. I mean, it’s Assassin’s Creed, you’d think everyone would be all over it, right? Anyway, I finally found a couple of spots that were taking pre-orders, so I started digging into what goodies I could get.
The Loot
Here’s what I found out about the pre-order bonuses. If you pre-order, you get this bonus quest called “Thrown to the Dogs.” Sounds intense, doesn’t it? Then there’s the “3 days Early Access,” which is pretty self-explanatory, you play the game up to 3 days before the official launch date. That’s a big deal for someone like me who can’t wait to dive in.
But wait, there’s more! You also get what they call a Season Pass. This thing includes another bonus quest on day one, plus some extra stuff you can unlock, and it also includes two upcoming expansions. Two expansions! That’s like a whole bunch of extra game time right there.
The Gold Standard
Now, I went for the Gold Edition because, why not, right? This one has all the stuff I just mentioned – the base game, the season pass with all those quests and expansions. I heard that if you buy a physical copy you get it on two discs, at least on Xbox. Don’t know how I feel about that. I like digital, you know?
Yasuke Character Pack
Then I heard that there is a Yasuke Character Pack which will be in the pre-order bonus. It’s called “The Sekiryu Character Pack” or something, and it includes gear and weapon sets for both Naoe and Yasuke, and there is also a “The Sekiryu Beast”. I guess it’s some kind of animal or something.
Waiting Game
So, yeah, that’s my saga of pre-ordering Assassin’s Creed Shadows. It’s a bit of a waiting game now, but I’m pretty stoked about all the extra content I’m gonna get. Just gotta sit tight and wait for those three days of early access to roll around. Anyone else pre-ordering? What version are you getting?
