Okay, so today I wanted to mess around with watching some sports, and I remembered this site, Hesgoal TV, that a buddy told me about. Figured I’d give it a shot and see what it’s all about.

First thing I did was, obviously, I pulled up my browser. Typed in “Hesgoal” just to see what would pop up, you know, not really knowing the exact address.
The search results gave me a few options, a bunch of sites that looked similar. I picked one that looked kinda official, the one that seemed most likely to be the real deal. I’ve learned my lesson before clicking on random stuff!
Getting Around the Site
Once the page loaded, it was pretty straightforward. You got your typical sports site layout. A bunch of different sports listed at the top – football, basketball, you name it. Then, down the middle, were the live games and upcoming matches.
I clicked around a bit, checking out the different sections. They had schedules, live scores, the usual stuff. It was pretty easy to navigate, nothing too confusing, I gotta give them that.
Finding a Stream
I was mainly interested in catching a football game that I knew was playing. I found it listed pretty easily on the main page. They had a few different links for each game, probably different streams. I just picked one and hoped for the best.

It took a second to load, and, yep, there were a few pop-up ads I had to close out. Pretty standard for these types of sites, I guess. Kind of annoying, but you get used to it.
The Viewing Experience
Once I got past the ads, the stream started playing. The quality was… okay. Not amazing, not terrible. It was watchable, which is really all I needed. I mean, I’m not expecting crystal-clear HD here, it is what it is.
I watched for a little while, and it was pretty smooth, not a lot of buffering or anything. There were a couple of times the stream froze for a second, but it came back quickly. Overall, it was a decent enough experience for a free stream.
My thoughts
It is work!
It’s not perfect, sure, but for a free way to watch a game, I can’t really complain. It got the job done. Would I use it again? Probably. It’s handy to have in a pinch if you’re trying to catch a game and don’t have any other options.
