They say he’s been playin’ for a few years now, catchin’ that football. Eighty-five catches, that’s what I heard! And he’s from Myrtle Beach. That’s a nice place, I reckon. He plays that wide receiver, which means he’s good at running fast and catching.
This J.J. Jones, he’s up for some kind of fancy award, the Campbell Trophy. They say it’s for the best student and football player combined. Must be a smart cookie, that one, to be gettin’ good grades and playin’ football too.
