So, I’ve been trying to get a better handle on my weight, and I realized I’ve been thinking in kilograms, but sometimes I need to know it in pounds. I weighed myself the other day, and the scale said 74 kg. I needed to figure out what that is in pounds, so here’s what I did.
The Conversion Process
I remembered that there’s a simple way to convert kilograms to pounds. I just needed some sort of tool to help me do that.
- Looked it up: First, I just quickly searched it up on Google and saw that you gotta multiply by some number.
- Found the Number: Turns out, the number to multiply by is about 2.2. I mean if you want to get super exact its 2.204622622!
- Did the Math: I Grabbed my phone’s calculator and punched in 74, then multiplied it by 2.204622622. It is important that you do not miss a digit.
The Result
Boom! The calculator showed me 163.14. That is pretty close to what the search engine shows. So, 74 kilograms is roughly 163 pounds. It’s not too complicated, right? Now I know, and I can easily switch between kilos and pounds whenever I need to!
