Okay, so today I decided to dive back into NBA 2K. I hadn’t played in a while, and I had this random urge to revisit some classic players. One name popped into my head: Nick Anderson. You know, the guy from the old Orlando Magic teams, with Shaq and Penny? I figured, let’s see if I can make some magic happen with him.

First, I fired up the game. It took a minute to update everything – gotta love those modern games! After all the loading screens, I went straight to the roster section. My goal was to find a classic Magic team that had Anderson on it.
I scrolled through the teams, past all the current squads, and finally found the retro teams. There it was – the ’94-’95 Orlando Magic! Perfect. Nick Anderson, right there on the roster, alongside young Shaq and Penny Hardaway. It was like stepping back in time.
Next, I decided to play a quick exhibition game. I picked the ’94-’95 Magic as my team and, just for fun, I pitted them against the current-day Los Angeles Lakers. Kind of a “past versus present” showdown. It felt a litte unfair.
Gameplay Time!
- I started the game, and immediately tried to get Anderson involved. I passed to him, dribbled to get him free for 3.
- I remembered Anderson was a pretty solid three-point shooter, so I focused on getting him open looks from beyond the arc.
- It took a few possessions, but I finally drained a three with him. Felt good! The classic commentary even mentioned his name, which was a nice touch.
- I even tried to drive to the basket with him a few times, just to mix things up. He wasn’t as explosive as some of the other guys, but he could still get to the rim.
- It was very fun.
I played a few more games, experimenting with different classic teams. But the highlight was definitely getting that first three-pointer with Nick Anderson. It’s the little things that make these games fun, right?
So, that was my little NBA 2K adventure for the day. Nothing too crazy, just a bit of nostalgic fun. Might try to recreate some other classic moments next time!
