Okay, so I was watching “The Judge” the other night with Robert Downey Jr. and Robert Duvall, and I got super curious about where they filmed it. It had this really cool, small-town vibe, you know?

So, I started digging around. My first instinct was to just Google it, plain and simple. I typed in “where was the judge movie filmed” and hit enter.
The search results popped up, and I saw a bunch of different websites. I figured I’d check a few to make sure I was getting the right info. I noticed that Shelburne Falls, Massachusetts, was coming up a lot.
I went through multiple websites, and it looked like Shelburne Falls was definitely a major location. Aparently they also used some other spots in Massachusetts, like Belmont, Dedham, and even parts of Boston.
My Findings
- Shelburne Falls, MA: This seemed to be the main place, you know, that picture-perfect small town they show a lot.
- Other MA towns: Belmont, Dedham, Sunderland, and Waltham, were all used.
- Worcester,MA:Got used for some scenes.
- Boston, MA: Yep, even the big city got in on the action.
So, yeah, pretty much the whole movie was shot in Massachusetts. It’s cool how they managed to make all those different places feel like one cohesive town in the movie. It shows how a single location can be created by the clever shooting of multiple locations.
