Okay, so yesterday I decided to mess around and try to make a little “match drink” thing. You know, like those personality quizzes but for what you should drink? I thought it’d be fun, and honestly, I was kinda bored.

Getting Started
First, I brainstormed some basic categories. Like, what kind of mood are you in? What kind of flavors do you usually like? Stuff like that. I jotted down a bunch of ideas on a piece of paper – super basic, nothing fancy.
- Happy
- Sad
- Tired
- Energetic
- Spicy
- Sweet
- Sour
- Fruity
I figured these were good starting points. I mean, everyone feels these things, right?
The Matching Part
Then came the tricky part – linking the moods and flavors to actual drinks. I started with the easy ones. Happy? Something bubbly, maybe a fruity soda. Tired? Coffee, duh. But then it got harder. What do you drink when you’re feeling “spicy”?
I spent a good hour just staring at my list and thinking. I even googled a few things like “drinks for a sad mood” – don’t judge, we all do it. I ended up with some pretty random pairings, but I figured, hey, it’s just for fun.
Putting It All Together
I didn’t want to make it complicated, so I just wrote everything down in a simple format. Like this:

Mood: Happy –> Drink: Sparkling Cider
Flavor: Sweet –> Drink: Hot Chocolate
I made about ten of these, just to have some variety. I even added a “surprise me” option that just randomly picked a drink from the list. Because why not?
The Result
Honestly, it’s super basic, nothing amazing. But it was a fun little project, and it actually made me think a bit about different drinks and flavors. I even tried a few of the combinations myself! (The “sad” drink was surprisingly accurate – it recommended tea, and I’m a big tea person when I’m feeling down.)
So yeah, that’s my “match drink” experiment. Maybe I’ll expand on it someday, add more options, maybe even turn it into a little app or something. Who knows! For now, it’s just a fun little thing I made to pass the time.
