So, I’ve been diving deep into this whole “Masters Way” thing lately. It’s been a real journey, let me tell you. I started out pretty skeptical, not gonna lie. I mean, it sounded kinda “woo-woo” to me at first.

Getting Started

First things first, I grabbed the core materials. For me, this included the books, the audio guides, and the online forum. That took a bit of digging to figure the best places to buy them.

Then, I set aside some time each day. This was honestly the hardest part. I’m a busy person, you know? But I managed to carve out about 30 minutes every morning before the chaos of the day really kicked in. That seemed to be the best time when my brain was most calm.

The Actual Practice

I started with the daily exercises. There’s this whole morning pages thing, where you just free-write whatever comes to mind. At first, it felt awkward. Like, what am I even supposed to write about? But after a few days, I started to get the hang of it. Stuff just… poured out. Thoughts I didn’t even know I had.

  • Morning Pages: This was a daily brain dump. I wrote a lot of stuff.
  • Artist Dates: These were more like solo adventures. I would go on hikes.
  • Guided Meditations: I used the audio guides for these. The narrator’s voice was pretty soothing, which helped.

The Messy Middle

Okay, I’m not gonna sugarcoat it. There were times I wanted to quit. Some days, I felt like I was just going through the motions. I doubted whether any of this was actually “working.” I even skipped a few days here and there (don’t tell anyone!).

But, I kept pushing. I reminded myself why I started in the first place. I wanted to feel more creative, more connected to myself, more… alive, I guess.

Seeing Results

Slowly but surely, things started to shift. It wasn’t like a lightning bolt or anything. More like a gradual dawning. I noticed I was feeling less anxious, more focused. I was approaching my work with a new sense of energy and excitement.

I also started to have these little “aha” moments. Ideas would pop into my head out of nowhere. I felt more inspired, more willing to take risks.

The Long Haul

I’m still on this journey. I definitely haven’t “mastered” anything yet. But I’m committed to sticking with it. I’ve seen enough positive changes in my life to know that this “Masters Way” thing is worth exploring.

It’s not a quick fix, and it’s definitely not easy. But if you’re willing to put in the work, it can be pretty damn rewarding.
