Alright, so I wanted to link my Call of Duty gameplay to YouTube. It’s not as straightforward as you might think, at least it wasn’t for me, so I figured I’d share my stumbling-through process.

Figuring Out the Basics
First things first, I needed to actually record my gameplay. I’m on PlayStation, so I used the built-in “Share” button functionality. I messed around with the settings a bit to make sure it was recording at a decent quality and length. I wasn’t aiming for a professional montage, just a quick clip of a particularly awesome (or hilariously bad) moment.
Getting it Off the Console
Okay, so I had my clip. Now what? I needed to get it from my PlayStation to somewhere I could upload it to YouTube. My initial thought was a USB drive. Super simple, right?
- I plugged in a USB stick to the PS.
- I went to the “Capture Gallery.”
- I found the clip.
- I chose “Copy to USB Storage Device”.
So far, so good. I felt like a tech wizard.
The YouTube Upload
Next step: YouTube! I pulled the USB drive from my PS, and I plugged it into my laptop. I went to YouTube, logged into my account, and clicked on that little “Create” button (the one that looks like a camera). Then I clicked “Upload video.”
I dragged and dropped the video file from the USB drive into the YouTube upload window. Easy peasy.

Titling and Describing
YouTube then prompted me to add a title, description, and all that jazz. I kept the title simple, something like “Call of Duty craziness” .I am not very creative. In the description, I added a quick sentence or two about what happened in the clip. Nothing fancy, just some context.
Waiting and Publishing
Then came the waiting game. YouTube had to process the video. Depending on the length and quality of your clip, this can take a while. Mine was pretty short, so it didn’t take too long. I changed the view option to public.
Finally, I hit that glorious “Publish” button. Boom! My Call of Duty moment was officially on YouTube.
It was a bit of a learning curve at first, but now I can share my gaming highlights (and lowlights) with anyone who cares to * you’re trying to do the same, I hope my little walkthrough helps you * is not too hard just follow the steps. Good luck!
