Okay, so the other day, I was trying to figure out exactly how much time I had until 2:30 PM. Sounds simple, right? But my brain likes to make things complicated. I had just finished a late lunch, looked at the clock, and it was, like, 1:17 PM. I needed to run some errands, and 2:30 was my hard deadline.
The First Attempt (aka The Overthink)
First, I tried to do the math in my head. You know, the whole “borrow the 60” thing from elementary school. I started subtracting, got lost in the minutes, and ended up with some random number that felt totally wrong. I think I was at 73 minutes, and was like no way is it that little amount of time?
The “There’s Got to Be an Easier Way” Moment
Then, it hit me. I’m living in the 21st century! Why am I wrestling with subtraction like it’s 1995? I grabbed my phone and went straight to the a time duration calculator. Typed in my current time (1:17 PM) and my target time (2:30 PM), pressed enter, and boom!
The Result
The calculator told me what I am looking for. I had exactly 1 hour and 13 minutes. Which, when you think about it, is 73 minutes. so my initial hunch was right, but I wanted to double-check to make sure. Seeing it clearly displayed made a huge difference. I could now plan my errands with military precision (or, you know, at least not be late).
