Okay, so I was on this quest to get my hands on a “Raquel Welch poster Shawshank.” You know, the one from the movie? It’s iconic! I figured it’d be a cool addition to my little movie memorabilia collection.
First, I hit up the usual online spots. You know, I spent the whole day, just browsing, typing in different keywords, and scrolling endlessly. It was a bit of a jungle out there, with a bunch of random stuff popping up, but I know i’m looking for that classic pose, so I kept on searching. I tried all sorts of related keyword,like “vintage”, “original”, some of those,but still not found it.
Digging Deeper
I decided to try the flea markets and some vintage shops in town. I figured, who knows? Maybe a hidden gem was waiting for me somewhere.
- First Stop: I vist some local vintage shops in town. Nothing. The shop owner said, “You and everyone else, pal!” with a smile, but I still thank him.
- Next try: I try some flea markets,but still got nothing.
- Finally, I found a guy who had a whole box of old movie posters. I dug through them, and bam! There it was. I couldn’t believe my eyes.
The Find!
It was a bit worn around the edges, but that just added to its charm, right? Authentic, you know? I carefully brought it back home.I rolled it out, and it looked even better than I imagined. I took a picture, and share my new collection!
So, yeah, that’s my little story about finding the Raquel Welch poster. Took some effort, but totally worth it. Now it’s up on my wall, and it looks awesome!
