Well, let me tell ya, this whole Super Lig top scorers thing, it’s a big deal back home. They call ’em “Gol Kralı” over there, sounds fancy, huh? It just means the fella who kicks the ball in the net the most. And this year, this fella, Mauro Icardi, he’s the king. He plays for that Galatasaray team, good for him, I guess. 25 goals he got. That’s a heap of goals!
Now, back in my day, we didn’t have all these fancy leagues. But we had our own stars. I remember this one fella, played for years and years, scored more goals than you could shake a stick at. Name was Zeki Rıza, they say he put that ball in the back of the net 470 times. Can you believe it? 470! And only played in 352 games. That means he’s scoring more than one goal every game, every single time he stepped out on that field.
And this other fella, Hakan something. I don’t know his last name, but he scored a lot of goals, too. He played for like three clubs. It says here, let me see…490 games he had, and he scored 249 goals. That is also very good. That’s a lot of running around, I tell ya!
Nowadays, they keep track of all this stuff. They got lists, and charts, and all sorts of things. This Super Lig 2024/2025 thing, it’s all organized, you see. They know who’s scoring, who ain’t, who’s got the most, who’s got the least. It’s all right there for everyone to see. You can find the whole table of scorers of the tournament.

They even know how many times they pass the ball to each other and how many times they show yellow and red cards! Back in my day, if you got a card, you just dusted yourself off and kept playing. These young fellas today, they fall down like they been shot!
They got this whole list, you know, of the top scorers. And not just for this year, but for all the years. Every year, they write down who scored the most. It’s like a history book, but just for kicking a ball around. They know how many games it took each one of them to get all those goals. You can see who was really good, and who just got lucky a few times, I reckon.
This here says, “This ranking shows all top Super Lig goal scorers by season in chronological order.” That’s a mouthful, ain’t it? It just means they got it all lined up, year by year, so you can see who was the best when. They even show you how many games they played, and how many goals they got. It’s all very official, I suppose.
And this other paper here says, “Get the full Turkish Super Lig stats for the 2024-25 season.” They got it all, they do. Goals, assists, those yellow and red cards I was tellin’ ya about. Everything you ever wanted to know about kicking a ball in Turkey. It’s all right there on that there ESPN thing.
It’s a different world now, that’s for sure. All these numbers and lists. But one thing’s the same: scoring goals is what it’s all about. And these Super Lig top scorers, they sure know how to do that. You gotta give ’em credit. They’re the best at what they do, even if they do fall down a bit too easy.
