Okay, so “365 new chances,” right? It’s the whole “new year, new me” thing, but I wanted to actually do something about it this year, not just think about it.

Kickstarting the Habit
First, I grabbed a blank notebook. Nothing fancy, just something I could scribble in without feeling precious about it. I decided to keep it simple: one page, one day.
The Daily Grind (But in a Good Way)
Every morning, before I even looked at my phone (that was the hardest part, honestly), I opened the notebook and wrote down something. Could be a goal, a hope, something I was grateful for, even just a random thought. It didn’t matter what, as long as I put something down.
- Some days, I felt super motivated and wrote down huge plans.
- Other days, it was just, “Get through the day without losing my mind.”
- It turned into a daily check in.
I have been keeping it up with the habit.
The Results (So Far)
Honestly, keeping the writing habit is the hardest part. And then some days, writing down the simplest of the things is much more difficult. But the I try to remind myself of the goal, and that is keep the habit going, 365 days, just write something down.
It’s not magic, but it’s something. 365 new chances, 365 small steps. I’m taking them, one scribbled page at a time.
