Okay, so I saw this video of Steph Curry hitting a crazy shot in golf and doing that “night night” celebration. I thought, “I gotta try that!” So, here’s how my attempt went down.
Step 1: The Setup
First, I grabbed my clubs and headed to the driving range. I figured I needed some practice before trying anything fancy. I warmed up with a few easy swings, just getting a feel for the day.
Step 2: Practicing the Shot
I’m no Steph Curry, obviously, so I started with some basic chip shots.
- I focused on getting a clean contact.
- I worked on my follow-through.
- I tried to get the ball to land softly.
After a bunch of tries, I started to get a little more consistent. Still, not exactly “highlight reel” material.
Step 3: Time for the Celebration…Prematurely
Okay, so I got a little ahead of myself. I hit one decent shot – it wasn’t even that great – and I went for the “night night” thing. I mean full-on hands-to-the-side-of-my-head, pretending to sleep. My buddy who was with me just started laughing.
Step 4: Back to Reality (and More Practice)
I realized I needed to, you know, actually make a good shot before celebrating. So, I went back to practicing. More chips, more focus, and less premature celebrating.

I keep practicing, and after I make one very good shot. I think this time, I can do the “night night” celebration.
Step 5: The (Slightly Less Embarrassing) Celebration
I finally hit a pretty good shot – it landed close to the pin, I did the celebration. It still felt kinda silly, but at least I earned it a little bit more this time. I think It’s fun, maybe next time, I can do better.
So, yeah, that’s my Steph Curry golf celebration story. It wasn’t exactly smooth, but it was fun. It reminded me that even the pros make things look way easier than they are. And hey, I got a good laugh out of it, and so did my friend.
