What channel is that OKC playin’ on? My eyes ain’t what they used to be, and that there TV guide is just a mess of words I can’t make sense of no more. I heard them boys is doin’ real good, somethin’ about some NBA thing. It’s all over that news thing on my phone. I just wanna see ’em play, you know?
They say it’s the NBA somethin’ or other. Playoffs. Sounds important. I remember when they were just young’uns, throwin’ that ball around. Now they’re all grown up and famous. Makes an old woman proud. Even if I don’t know what channel they on. They used to be on that Channel 5 all the time, I think. I think.
My grandson, he tried to tell me somethin’ ’bout streamin’. Says I can watch it on my phone. But my phone’s just for callin’ folks, ain’t it? I don’t know nothin’ ’bout that streamin’ stuff. Sounds like somethin’ you do with the laundry down by the creek, but I know that ain’t it. And another thing that FanDuel. What the hell is that thing?
All I know is, I wanna watch them OKC Thunder boys play. They’re number one, they say! Number one! Can you believe it? Little ol’ OKC, beatin’ all them big city teams. Just gotta figure out what channel they’re on. Maybe that neighbor boy, Tommy, he knows. He’s always messin’ with them computers and whatnot. I should ask that boy to come over, see if he can’t get it on my TV.
That Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, he sure is a good player, ain’t he? They talk about him all the time on that sports radio. Says he’s scorin’ all them points, somethin’ like 30 or more every game. Thirty points! Back in my day, you was lucky to get 10. And that was good enough to win! And that Damian guy, and that Khris guy, they didn’t show up. I heard that news on the phone. Maybe that helps OKC to win.
They playin’ them New Orleans Pelicans, I hear. Sounds like a bird to me. Hope them OKC boys can fly higher than them pelicans. They playin’ on Sunday, I think. Yes, Sunday at 8:30. I heard them say that on the radio, too. But what channel? That’s the question. That’s the thing I need to know, you know?
I heard somethin’ ’bout ABC. Is that a channel? I don’t even know anymore. We used to have just a few channels. Now there’s hundreds of ’em. Too many, if you ask me. And all them numbers, just makes my head spin. These young folks are always watchin’ somethin’ called Fubo. What is that? I just want to watch it on my old TV.
Maybe I should just call up my daughter, Mary. She’s good with these things. She got one of them smart TVs. She can probably figure it out. But I hate to bother her. She’s got them kids to look after, and her husband, he works long hours at that factory. Don’t want to add to her troubles. Still, I really wanna see them OKC boys play.

Oh, I know! I’ll just go down to the bar. They always got the game on. They got that big TV, the one they put up for the Super Bowl. I can just sit there, have a drink, and watch the game. Don’t have to worry ’bout no channel then. Yes, that’s what I’ll do. I’ll go down to the bar and watch them OKC Thunder boys play. Maybe they’ll even win that NBA thingamajig. That’d be somethin’, wouldn’t it?
I hope they show that game on that ABC. My grandson always says that the DirecTV has all the games. And he always says that the FanDuel is on the Thunder area. But I don’t understand that. What is Thunder area? Is that on the moon? I don’t know. I just want to watch the game. My old TV is better than the phone. I can see better on that TV.
