Okay, so I wanted to check out this “Phillies 50/50” thing. I’d heard about it, you know, the raffle they do at the games. I figured, might as well give it a shot, right? So, here’s how it went down.
Figuring Out How It Works
First, I had to figure out how this whole 50/50 thing even works. I did look up the rules. Found some info. Basically, you buy tickets, and half the pot goes to some charity, and the other half goes to the winner. Sounded simple enough.
Getting the Tickets
Next, I had look for people are selling tickets. During games, sellers are walking around, I just bought it directly.
The Wait and the Numbers
After buying my tickets, it was all about waiting. You gotta keep checking the scoreboard or their website, I guess, to see the winning number. I kept my tickets handy, just in case.
Checking the Results
I pull up the website on my phone. I start looking for the winning numbers, and comparing them to my tickets. Nope, nothing. Not even close. Oh well.
The Outcome
So, yeah, I didn’t win. It was a little bit of a bummer, but hey, it’s all part of the game, right? I knew the odds were not the best. It’s like playing the lottery, I guess. Someone’s gotta win, just wasn’t me this time.
