Okay, so today I messed around with something totally new to me – “Willie Montanez.” I’d heard the name before, figured it was some old baseball player, but I didn’t really know anything. So, I decided to dive in and see what I could find and figure out.

Digging for Info
First things first, I hit up the usual spots to get a general idea. You know, just trying to get the basic facts straight. I wanted to know who this guy was, what he did, and why he was noteworthy enough for me to be spending my afternoon on him.
I quickly learned that, yeah, he was indeed a baseball player. A first baseman, it turned out. Played for a bunch of different teams back in the 70s and 80s. Okay, cool. Starting to get a picture here.
Watching The Game
After getting to know when he played through searching for some basic information, I found some videos and started watching Willie’s game, and I began to learn and observe how he played. He looks really good, I can understand it, it seems like a pretty good record.
Putting It All Together
So, after spending a few hours on this, what did I actually do? Well, I didn’t just passively read. I actively:
- Searched up basic info to get the context.
- Watched some old game footage, you know, to see the guy in action.
- Took notes on some of the interesting stuff I found.
- Figured out which years he played, which teams, that sort of thing.
Basically, I took a name I barely recognized and turned it into something I actually understood. It wasn’t some huge project, but it was a fun little exploration. And hey, I learned something new. That’s always a win in my book.
