Okay, so, I’ve been messing around with this survivor league thing, and let me tell you, it’s been a ride. I started off not really knowing what I was doing, just picking teams based on who I liked, which, yeah, not the best strategy.

First, I signed up for one of those online survivor leagues. I picked the one that looked the easiest to use, since I’m not exactly a tech whiz. I remember thinking, “This should be simple enough, right?”
Then, I started looking at the teams. I mean, I watch football, but I never really paid that much attention to the details before. I started looking at things like past performance, injuries, who was playing who… It was a lot more involved than I thought it would be.
- First few weeks, I picked teams based on gut feeling. Big mistake.
- Then I started looking at stats, which helped a bit.
- I even started reading those expert analysis articles. Some of it made sense, some of it was like a foreign language.
I had a few wins early on, mostly by luck, I think. But then, I hit a rough patch. I picked a team that was supposed to be a sure thing, and they choked. Big time. I was out of the league faster than I could say “touchdown.”
What I Learned
So, what did I learn from this whole experience? Well, a few things:
- Don’t just pick your favorite team. It’s a recipe for disaster.
- Do your research. Look at the stats, read the analysis, and try to get a sense of who’s really going to win.
- Don’t get too cocky. Even the best teams can have a bad day.
I’m definitely going to try this again next season, but this time, I’ll be a little smarter about it. It’s a fun challenge, even if you don’t always win. And who knows, maybe I’ll even get good at it someday.

Anyway, that’s my story about getting into survivor league picks. It was a learning experience, to say the least. Hope you enjoyed my ramblings!
