Today, I tried to find out what’s going on with the Sword Art Online season 5. It’s been a while, right?
First, I searched a lot on the web. It’s kinda messy, to be honest. Some folks are saying to just read the light novels. I mean, there are like 24 of them translated into English! That’s a lot of reading. And, yeah, I get it, the novels are the real deal, but I still wanted to know about the anime.
Then, I dug into what people call “seasons” and “arcs.” It seems like some fans think they’re the same thing, but they’re not. A season is just a bunch of episodes, while an arc is a whole story within the series. And it looks like we’ve officially had four seasons so far, with a big break in between.
What really got me was seeing how popular virtual reality and AR are these days. It makes sense to bring back Sword Art Online now, doesn’t it? I mean, the timing is perfect.
So, I checked out what’s up with the latest season, the “War of Underworld.” It seems like it’s the final chapter. I even found out that Season 4, the English dubbed version, just hit Netflix. And people are going crazy, wondering if there’s gonna be another season or not.
Now, about Season 5, it’s a big question mark. Nobody knows which parts of the light novels they’ll adapt, if they even make a Season 5. It’s all up in the air. I even saw a comparison to “Stranger Things” Season 5, which has its episode titles out. Kinda cool, but not what I was looking for.
I also stumbled upon this interesting tidbit from someone who was there from the beginning, back in 2012. They talked about the first arc of the show. It brought back some memories, I guess.
