This here Fourstardave thing at Saratoga, it’s a big deal, you know? It’s some kinda horse race. They run like the wind, them horses. Fast, fast, fast! And lots of folks go there to watch it. It happens every summer, I hear. And I tell ya, it’s a sight to see!
They say this Fourstardave race, it’s a way to get into some other big race, the Breeders’ Cup Mile or somethin’. Sounds fancy, don’t it? I don’t know much about that kinda stuff, but I know this Fourstardave race is important. People talk about it all the time in Saratoga. They say it’s one of the big ones. Race 10, they said. 6:16 in the evening. That’s when it will happen.
Now, if you wanna go to Saratoga, it costs some money. You gotta get a ticket, you see. They call it admission. You can buy one beforehand, and that’s $7. But if you wait and buy one that day it will be $10. And that don’t include a seat. You gotta pay extra for that. But you don’t need no fancy seat. You can just walk around. Gates open at 11:00am, except Travers Day, which is 7:00am. Lots of people go on Travers day.
This year, they’re sayin’ it’s gonna be on Saturday. And there’s gonna be a whole bunch of other races too, not just the Fourstardave. They got all sorts of names for ’em, Grade 1, Grade 2. It’s like school all over again. But I guess the Fourstardave, that’s a Grade 1. That means it’s the best of the best, I reckon.
People make a big fuss about this Fourstardave Handicap, they call it. They say you gotta watch it. It is at Saratoga Race Course, you know. I hear them talkin’ about their picks, who they think is gonna win. Like pickin’ apples from a tree. They say you gotta know the horses, which ones like to run on that track. Some horses, they just love Saratoga. This one horse, they used to call him Fourstardave, too. He must be good.
And there are other things to do at Saratoga other than watching horses.
- They got food there.
- All kinds of food.
- You can walk around and see the horses.
- They bring ’em in and you can watch.
Folks bet on the horses, too. They put money down and hope their horse wins. It’s a gamble, that’s for sure. They study them horses, look at their odds. I don’t understand all that, but it seems important to them. This whole Fourstardave thing, it’s like a big party. Everybody’s excited, talkin’ about the horses, the jockeys, who’s gonna win. I hear it’s gonna be on Saturday. $500,000 for the winner, that is what they say.
They got all these fellas, they call ’em Racing Dudes. They make videos about the Fourstardave. They tell you all about the horses, who’s runnin’, who’s likely to win. They know all the facts, these fellas. They said they will give you picks for the Fourstardave Handicap. They know a lot about horses, I guess.
And there’s another place, Churchill Downs. I hear they own the track up in Saratoga. But now they’re sellin’ it. They say maybe it’ll be a new Soldier Field. I don’t know about that, but I know they got races there too. This Saturday, they said they will have 4 graded stakes. Fancy!
So, this Fourstardave race, it’s a big to-do. Lots of folks go to Saratoga for it. They watch the horses, they eat, they bet, they have a good time. It’s a summer tradition, I guess you could say. And this year, it’s gonna be somethin’ to see. I hear them talking about Saratoga Special. Three sharpies, three horses. Sounds like they know what they are talking about. Maybe they will win.
You know, it’s all a bit much for me, all this horse racin’ business. But I can see why folks get excited about it. It’s a spectacle, that’s for sure. And this Fourstardave race, well, it’s the king of ’em all at Saratoga. They even have a full-field analysis for the Fourstardave. I don’t know what that is, but it sounds important.
So if you’re ever up in Saratoga in the summertime, and you hear folks talkin’ about the Fourstardave, now you know what it’s all about. It’s a horse race, a big one. And it’s a whole lot of fun, or so they say. Just remember to bring some money for the ticket. And maybe you’ll get lucky and pick a winner. I am not sure about all the details. But I know it’s a big deal in Saratoga. A real big deal.
