Today, I’m gonna talk about this thing called Leonardo Manager. I’ve been messing around with it for a while, and let me tell you, it’s been quite a ride.

So, I first heard about Leonardo from some online forum. Seemed like a cool innovation platform, and I was curious. This was back in, I think, 2009 when it was released. Sounded like it was named after the famous painter, Leonardo da Vinci. Smart, huh? The first thing I did was to dig up more information about it. Turns out, it’s an offering from SAP, and they say it can do all sorts of things with blockchain, IoT, and analytics. I got to know that SAP invested a lot of money, over 2 billion, into this thing. Big money!
I found out that there are a few ways to get started with Leonardo. One way is through SAP applications. Like, they’ve got these smart insights in SAP Ariba. I’m not really using Ariba, so I didn’t go that route. But I did start playing around with their IoT applications. It’s kinda neat how it can handle business transactions with device data. Makes sense, especially if you’re into the whole IoT thing.
Getting it to work was not exactly a walk in the park. Implementing it for digital transformation, they say you need careful planning and change management strategies. And yeah, you need to know your tech stuff. I spent a good chunk of time figuring things out, setting up stuff, and getting it to do what I wanted. Lots of trial and error, you know?
- First Step: Started with understanding what it really is.
- Second Step: Explored the different ways to get started.
- Third Step: Dived into setting up and configuring.
- Fourth Step: Played around with the IoT applications.
- Final Step: Tried to integrate it with some of my existing systems.
After a lot of tinkering, I finally got it to a point where it was kinda useful for me. It’s definitely not something you just jump into and master overnight. But if you’re patient and willing to put in the time, it’s pretty powerful. I mean, it’s from SAP, so you know it’s got some serious backing.
So, that’s my experience with Leonardo Manager. It’s been a learning curve, but hey, that’s what makes it fun, right? If you’re thinking about checking it out, be prepared to roll up your sleeves and get your hands dirty. But in the end, it might just be worth it.
