Okay, so today I wanna talk about this drinking game, the “Kings Cup of Champions.” You might’ve heard it called “Ring of Fire” or “Circle of Death” or something, but it’s all the same thing. Basically, it’s a super fun way to get a party going and get everyone a little tipsy.
So, first thing I did was grab a deck of cards and a big cup – that’s your King’s Cup. I placed the cup in the middle of the table and then spread the cards all around it, face down, making sure they’re all mixed up good. We filled everyone’s drinks, of course, gotta be prepared, you know?
We decided to play with about five people. We sat in a circle around the table and decided who would go first. I designated the first player to start, and then we just went clockwise from there. It’s pretty simple: each person takes a turn picking a card from the circle.
Now, here’s where it gets fun. Every card means something different. Let’s say you pick up a 2 – you get to choose someone to take a drink. You pick a 3, you drink. A 4 means all the girls drink. It keeps going like that, and there are all sorts of rules. Like, if you pick a Jack, you make up a new rule that everyone has to follow. You gotta remember all the rules people make, so by the end, it’s pretty wild trying to keep track!
- 2: You choose someone to drink.
- 3: You drink.
- 4: All the girls drink.
- 5: All the guys drink.
- 6: Thumb Master! You can put your thumb down anytime, and the last person to do it drinks.
- 7: Heaven! Point to the sky, the last person to do it drinks.
- 8: Mate! Pick someone, and you both drink together from now on.
- 9: Rhyme time! Say a word, and everyone else has to rhyme with it until someone messes up and has to drink.
- 10: Categories! Pick a category, and everyone names something in it until someone messes up and has to drink.
- Jack: Make a rule!
- Queen: Question Master! You can ask anyone a question, and they have to answer with a question until someone messes up and drinks.
- King: Pour some of your drink into the King’s Cup.
And the big one – the King. If you pick a King, you gotta pour some of your drink into the King’s Cup in the middle. The person who picks the fourth King has to chug the whole thing! It can get pretty nasty by the end, with everyone’s drinks mixed in there, haha.
We played this for a while, and things got pretty interesting. People were making up all kinds of crazy rules, and it was hilarious watching everyone try to keep up. We laughed, we drank, and we just had a great time. It was pretty much the perfect way to spend a Friday night with friends.
Eventually, someone drew the last King, and they bravely downed the King’s Cup. It was a sight to see, let me tell you! After that, we were all pretty well-lubricated and decided to call it a night. All in all, a successful game of Kings Cup.
