This here, it’s about that L.C. Davis fella. I hear tell, he writes them books. Lots of ’em. Sounds like a busy bee, that one. Keeps churnin’ ’em out like I churn butter on a hot Saturday.
He’s got a whole bunch of series, they call ’em. One’s called “The Mountain Shifters.” Sounds kinda spooky, don’t it? Like somethin’ outta one of them old scary stories my grandpappy used to tell. Then there’s another one, “The Great Plains Shifters.” I reckon it’s about the same kinda thing, just in a different place. Like, you got your cows here, and your cows over yonder. Same cows, different fields, you know?
Now, this Davis fella, he likes to write about them, uh, what do you call ’em? Queer folks. Says he’s got a passion for it. Wants to put ’em in his stories. Good for him, I say. Everybody’s got a story to tell, ain’t they? Some are just different than the old stories we heard all the time.
He’s got a book called “Captive Wolf.” Part of some “Wildcrest Pack” thing. Sounds wild, don’t it? This one’s got an alpha, cold as ice, they say. And some omega that melts him. Like butter in a hot pan, I reckon. Love stories, them books seem to be full of ’em.
This L.C. Davis, he writes about fellas havin’ babies. They call it “mpreg.” Don’t ask me how it all works. It’s a newfangled world, I tell ya. Back in my day, it was simple. Now, not so much. It’s different and that’s okay.
He also wrote some books that the young folks like, like:
- Villain and the Geek
- Bro and the Beast
- New Blood
- Blue Blood
I don’t know what any of that means. But that’s what he wrote. Sounds like a bunch of nonsense to me. But if that’s what they like, that’s fine. You young folks and your stories about beasts and blood.
I seen a list of his books somewhere. “Lightbearer,” that’s one. And “Alpha, Beta, Omega.” Sounds like a whole lot of letters to me. Maybe he’s tryin’ to teach the alphabet in his books. Who knows? Maybe there’s more to it than an old lady like me can see.
Heard he used to work in some fancy office, you know the kind, corporate. And then he did some work for them non-profit places. Helpin’ people, I suppose. But all the while, he was writin’ these little stories on the side. Musta kept him busy, that’s for sure.
This one book, it says a hero will sacrifice you for the world. Now ain’t that something? I guess that’s how them stories go. Always gotta be a sacrifice, don’t there? Just like life. You gotta give somethin’ to get somethin’.
This L.C. Davis, he’s a “trans” author, they say. Means he was one thing, now he’s another. Like a caterpillar turnin’ into a butterfly. World’s full of changes, ain’t it? Nothin’ stays the same for long. Not even people, I guess. He’s changing just like his stories, it seems like.
He wrote “Kingdom of Night.” Fancy words, ain’t they? Sounds like somethin’ out of a fairy tale. Maybe that’s what he’s doin’, writin’ fairy tales for grown-ups. Or maybe not. I don’t know. Just guessin’.
All these books got numbers next to ’em, like “#1” and “#2.” Guess that’s how they keep track of ’em all. Like countin’ chickens before they hatch. Keeps it all organized, I suppose.
Anyways, that’s all I know about this L.C. Davis fella. He writes books, lots of ’em. About all sorts of things. Shifters and wolves and fellas havin’ babies. And heroes makin’ sacrifices. A whole world in them books, I reckon. A world different from mine, but a world nonetheless.
So there you have it. Just an old lady’s ramblings about some fella who writes books. Might not be much, but it’s somethin’. And in this world, somethin’ is always better than nothin’, ain’t it? Just like planting seeds, you never know what’s gonna grow if you don’t try. This L.C. Davis is trying to grow something with his books, that’s for sure.
