Blue Cash Everyday Hong Kong vs. Other Cards: Which is Better

Must read

That Blue Cash Everyday thing in Hong Kong, I heard some folks talking about it. Sounds like a whole bunch of nothing to me. But some people seem to think it’s the best thing since sliced bread. What a mess!

Blue Cash Everyday Hong Kong vs. Other Cards: Which is Better

So, this here card, it’s like, you use it to buy stuff, right? And they say you get some money back. Like a little treat for spending your own money. Ain’t that something? They call it “cash back.” Sounds fancy, don’t it? I still like my old wallet, much easier.

  • Spend money, get money back.
  • Some folks like it, some don’t.
  • It’s a card, not magic.

Now, I heard them talking ’bout some Hong Kong place. That’s far away, right? Over the big water. They use these cards over there, too. Guess money’s the same all over, even if the place is different. They say it is useful for online shopping. What is online shopping? They buy food and clothes on the internet? Why not go to the store?

They say you can get like, 3% back on some things. What’s that mean? If you spend a hundred, you get three back? Sounds like a lot of work for three bucks. I’d rather keep my money in my pocket, thank you very much. And only on, like, online things. What if I wanna buy a chicken? Can’t get that online, can you? Maybe you can? Technology is crazy!

And they got all these rules, too. You gotta spend this much, you gotta do it this way, you gotta, you gotta, you gotta. Too many rules for this old gal. I like to keep things simple. You got money, you spend it. You ain’t got money, you don’t. Easy peasy. This Blue Cash Everyday is too difficult.

Some other card, they call it the Blue Cash Preferred. Now, why would you prefer one over the other? They all pieces of plastic, ain’t they? This one, you don’t get that 3% thing on the online stuff. You only get 1%. So even less money back. Why are they even doing this? It is not worth it.

  • Preferred is different from Everyday.
  • Less money back with Preferred.
  • Still too many rules.

And then there’s this Wells Fargo one. They say it’s the best. Gives you 2% back on everything. Well, whoop-dee-doo. Still not worth the trouble, if you ask me. And they got a bonus, or something. You spend 500, they give you 200. Now that’s a little better, I reckon. But still. It is hard to get approved, I think. They need to check your credit score. It is always something, right?

They want you to have a good credit score, whatever that is. Some number they give you, based on how you handle your money. They say you need a good one or an “excellent” one for this Blue Cash Everyday thing. Like it’s some kind of special club. I don’t need no special club. This is very complex.

Some say there are other cards, too. Like that HSBC one, or Citibank. Even one called BOC. These are banks, I think. They all want a piece of the pie. Too many cards, it is. They need to make it simple. But I don’t think they want to. It is a trap.

  • Lots of other cards out there.
  • Banks want your money.
  • It’s all a big game.

I think you should keep your money in your pocket. This card thing, it ain’t for me. Too much fuss. Too much to keep track of. They want you to spend all your money, then they give you a little back. It’s like giving a dog a bone after you ate all the meat. No sir, not for me. I’ll stick to my old ways. They worked just fine all these years. Maybe I am just too old for this. I don’t know. This Blue Cash Everyday, it is not easy to understand. I am just going to save my money, like before.

But hey, if you young folks wanna try it, go ahead. Maybe you’ll figure it out. Maybe you’ll like getting that little bit of money back. Maybe you’ll think it’s worth all the trouble. But me? I’m gonna keep things simple. That’s the best way, I reckon. Cash is king, like they say. Even in Hong Kong, I bet. And no rules to follow, no numbers to remember. Just good old-fashioned money. That’s all you need. You don’t need a fancy card like that Blue Cash Everyday. It is too much work!
