Which LIV players at the Masters to watch? Here are the top contenders this year!

Must read

Okay, so today I wanna talk about something I’ve been digging into lately – those LIV Golf guys showing up at the Masters. It’s been a bit of a wild ride, so let me break it down for ya.

Which LIV players at the Masters to watch? Here are the top contenders this year!

First off, I started by just trying to figure out who from LIV Golf was even playing at the Masters this year. Turns out, there were 13 of them. Yeah, 13! I made a list, writing down names like Brooks Koepka, Phil Mickelson, Dustin Johnson – you know, some of the big names. Some of these guys are old Masters winners, so they get to play every year if they want, which is pretty cool.

  • Bryson DeChambeau
  • Sergio Garcia
  • Tyrrell Hatton
  • Dustin Johnson
  • Brooks Koepka
  • Adrian Meronk
  • Phil Mickelson
  • and others…

Then, I got curious about how these guys even qualified. I mean, the Masters is a big deal, right? So, I did some more digging. Found out there are certain criteria they gotta meet. Like, past champions get an automatic invite. Some of them also qualified because of how they did in other big tournaments. That made sense to me. I even wrote down some of the criteria, just to keep track.

After that, I remembered last year’s Masters and who played then. I went back and checked, and sure enough, a bunch of LIV players were there too. But I also found out that some of the LIV guys didn’t make the cut this year. Like Chase Koepka (Brooks’ brother), and a few others. They lost their spots. Crazy, right?

And guess what? This year, out of those 13 LIV players, only three of them – Brooks Koepka, Phil Mickelson, and Tyrrell Hatton – made it into the top 10! That’s pretty interesting, huh?

So, that’s basically what I’ve been up to. It’s been a fun little research project. I feel like I have a much better grasp of the whole LIV Golf at the Masters situation now. It’s always cool to learn something new, right? And who knows, maybe next year we’ll see even more LIV guys at Augusta. You never know!
