Alright, so, I’ve been meaning to catch up on some Monday Night Football games, and tonight was the night I finally got around to it. I’m not a hardcore fan or anything, but I do enjoy watching a good game every now and then. Here’s how my night went.
First, I checked when the game starts. Turns out, it’s usually around 8:15 PM Eastern Time. Perfect, gave me some time to get some snacks ready and stuff.
Then, I started to figure out where to watch these games. Apparently, they’re on ESPN and ABC most of the time, so that’s cool. I have cable, so that made it easy for me to find it.
Then, I did some digging to see if there are other ways to watch it. I don’t know, maybe for future reference. I found out that you can stream it on things like Fubo TV, DirecTV, and even Hulu with Live TV. They also mentioned ESPN+, which I think is a streaming thing? Maybe I’ll check that out later.
I even found out who the commentators are—Joe Buck and Troy Aikman. I recognized those names. They’re pretty famous, I guess.
- Decide to watch the game: I made up my mind to watch some Monday Night Football.
- Check the schedule: Found out the games usually start at 8:15 PM ET.
- Find where to watch: Realized ESPN and ABC are the main channels.
- Explore streaming options: Learned about Fubo TV, DirecTV, Hulu with Live TV, and ESPN+.
- Recognize the commentators: Heard that Joe Buck and Troy Aikman are the guys calling the game.
With all that sorted, I just kicked back, relaxed, and watched the game. It was a pretty chill night, you know? Just enjoying the game and the whole vibe of Monday Night Football.

Oh, I also read somewhere that Monday Night Football is a big deal. Like, it’s been around for a while and people really get into it. That’s pretty cool, I guess. Makes it more fun to watch when you know it’s a whole event. Oh, and there’s going to be a game on September 9th, marking the start of the new season. Good to know!
Anyway, that’s how I spent my night watching Monday Night Football. It’s a nice way to unwind after a long day. Maybe I’ll do it more often. We’ll see. And next time maybe I will record 50 hours using Sling TV, who knows.
I also just found out that this year they are going to play 23 games instead of 17. Cool! That’s all because of some 11-year deal or something they did in 2021.
Also, there was some talk about a doubleheader because it’s almost Christmas. I guess that’s a special thing they do.
The End
That’s pretty much it. Just wanted to share my little MNF experience. Hope you guys have a good night too!
