nascar fuel cans: where to buy and how to get the best deals.

Must read

Hey everyone, so I’ve been messing around with these NASCAR fuel cans lately, and let me tell you, it’s been quite the ride. I’ve always been fascinated by how quickly those pit crews can refuel a car, so I decided to get my hands on one of those cans and see what they’re all about.

First off, I started doing some digging around to see where I could even buy one of these things. I heard Sunoco was the official fuel of NASCAR, so I figured they might be a good place to start. Turns out, they don’t sell the cans directly, and it’s more about the whole “official fuel” branding thing. No luck there.

Next, I browsed online to see what was out there. I saw a bunch of listings for “NASCAR dump cans” and “fuel cans.” Lots of these were used ones, which is cool, but I wanted something new to play around with.

Then, I came across VP Racing Fuels. They had these 5.5-gallon Motorsport Utility Jug Gas Cans that looked pretty similar to what the NASCAR guys use. They even had a 14-inch hose attachment, which seemed perfect. These were going for about $42.99, which wasn’t too bad. I pulled the trigger and ordered one.

When the can arrived, I was pretty excited. It felt solid, and the build quality seemed top-notch. I spent some time just messing around with it, filling it up with water, and practicing how to pour it quickly and smoothly. You wouldn’t believe how heavy these things get when they’re full! It really gave me a new appreciation for those pit crew guys who handle them like it’s nothing.

I also looked into other options like JEGS. They have a wide selection of 5-gallon fuel cans, even 10-gallon ones. They call them “racing fuel jugs,” which is pretty much what these NASCAR cans are. I didn’t buy one from there this time, but it’s good to know they have them.

All in all, it’s been a fun little project. I’ve learned a lot about how these fuel cans work and why they’re designed the way they are. Plus, it’s just cool to have a piece of NASCAR tech in my garage. Maybe one day I’ll actually use it for its intended purpose, but for now, it’s a neat thing to have and play around with.

So, yeah, that’s my little adventure with NASCAR fuel cans. It might not be everyone’s cup of tea, but I had a blast. If you’re into racing or just like tinkering with stuff, I’d definitely recommend checking these cans out. You might just find yourself geeking out over them like I did!
