Alright, so, picture this: I’m scrolling through Instagram, right? Just minding my own business when BAM! I see a post about these sick purple shoes worn by Jayson Tatum. I’m a huge fan of his, and those kicks just caught my eye immediately. I knew I had to get my hands on a pair. So, my hunt began.
First things first, I tried searching for them online. I hopped on Foot Locker, hoping they’d have them. I mean, they always have the latest stuff, but no luck! They didn’t have the purple ones. I started digging deeper. Checked out a few other stores, but it was like these shoes were a ghost. Nowhere to be found. It seemed like everyone wanted a piece of Tatum’s style, and they were all sold out.
Feeling a bit defeated but still determined, I thought, “Okay, maybe there’s another way.” I remembered hearing about people getting shoes early – you know, those backdoor deals or friends and family releases. So, I reached out to a few friends who are really into sneakers. Sent out some messages, hoping they’d have some inside info or maybe even a connection. I was crossing my fingers, hoping for a miracle.

- Asked around to my sneakerhead friends: Still waiting to hear back.
While I was waiting, I stumbled upon some interesting tidbits. Turns out, Jayson Tatum’s got a whole collection of shoes. Some of them are crazy expensive! Did you know he has a pair of Nike Air Foamposite One Yots QS ‘Tianjin’ that can sell for like $8? Crazy, right? Anyway, I also learned that he just released his first signature shoe, the Jordan Tatum 1, and there is the Jordan Tatum 2 which will come out in 2024. But it’s the purple ones from the 2022-23 NBA season that I’m after.
I even found a site that had an autographed, player-worn pair, but guess what? Also out of stock! It was starting to feel like a mission impossible.
I’m not giving up, though. I’m keeping my eyes peeled, checking online stores regularly, and still hoping one of my friends will come through. Those purple shoes will be mine one day. I can feel it! It’s not just about the shoes, it’s about the thrill of the chase, you know? And hey, even if I don’t get that exact pair, there’s always the Jordan Tatum 3 coming out in fall 2024. Maybe I’ll find something cool there. But for now, the hunt for those purple beauties continues!
