Does freeing the ostrons give anything new war? Unlock hidden bonuses now!

Must read

Okay, so I’ve been digging into this “New War” thing in Warframe, and let me tell you, it’s a wild ride. I started by prepping my gear, making sure everything was in tip-top shape. You know, the usual routine before a big mission.

Then I dove headfirst into the quest. Man, it’s long! I mean, I was glued to my screen for like five hours straight. It felt even longer with the cut scenes and such. But hey, I’m not complaining, it’s all part of the experience. I blocked out an afternoon and evening, had my snacks ready, told the family not to bother me unless the house was on fire.

First off, I got into those stealth sections. They weren’t too bad, honestly. A little tricky at first, figuring out the patterns and all, but I got the hang of it. I spent a good chunk of time just observing, learning the routes, and planning my moves. It reminded me of the old days, sneaking around in those classic spy games. I had a rough start at the beginning because I didn’t really get the whole red arrow, hollow red arrow system at first, but after trial and error, got it down.

Now, about those Ostrons. I saw them, all trapped and needing a hand. I thought, “Why not?” So, I went around, freeing every single one I could find. It took some time, sure, but it felt good, like I was actually doing something meaningful, you know? And here’s a pro tip I figured out: those red arrows on the map? They’re your best friends. Solid red means Ostrons, hollow red ones are Deacons you gotta watch out for. I learned that the hard way, let me tell you. Took a few tries, but I managed to get them all out. Sneaking around, dodging those Deacons, it was intense. I felt like a real hero, liberating those poor guys.

But here’s the kicker, after all that, I didn’t really notice anything different. No big reward, no pat on the back. It got me thinking, was it even worth it? I mean, from a gameplay perspective, maybe not. But, it felt right, you know? Like, it added to the whole story, made it more personal. I started wondering if maybe there was some hidden bonus I missed, but then I saw some folks online saying the same thing – no bonus.

So, I finished the quest, and yeah, it was epic. But the whole Ostron thing got me thinking. Does doing good deeds in the game actually pay off? Or is it just about the feeling? I’m still not sure, but it was definitely an experience. I’m curious what other players think. Did anyone else go out of their way to free the Ostrons? And did you feel it was worth it, even without a tangible reward?

Anyways, I had a blast. And, I finally faced those Archons everyone’s been talking about. That was a whole other story. I even got some of those Archon Mods, which I’m still trying to figure out how to use best.

All in all, “The New War” is a beast of a quest, but freeing those Ostrons, even without any special reward, that just made the whole thing more memorable for me. It wasn’t about the loot or the XP; it was about doing what felt right. Maybe that’s the real reward, after all. If you haven’t tried it yet, give it a go. And maybe, just maybe, take the time to free those Ostrons. You might find it’s worth it, in a way you didn’t expect.
