Okay so yesterday I saw Pokimane’s stream and thought, “damn her makeup is always so perfect”. I wanted to try copying it without spending hours, so I found a tutorial and went crazy experimenting.
First Things First – The Base
Started with my usual foundation but mixed in extra moisturizer cause her skin looks dewy af. Dabbed it everywhere with a sponge – forehead, cheeks, chin, even neck. Almost tripped rushing to grab my concealer pot when my cat jumped on the counter. Used that bright shit under my eyes and on my forehead like the tutorial said.
The Glow-Up Part
Grabbed this dusty old blush I haven’t touched since 2020. Swiped peachy circles on my cheeks and nose bridge like some damn clown. Blended it out hard with my fingers till it looked natural. Then took highlighter – BAM – smashed it on my cheekbones, nose tip, and cupid’s bow. Looked like a disco ball at first but toned it down.
Eyes Are The Worst Part
This is where I almost quit. Her eyeliner wings are always sharp enough to kill. First try looked like a drunk toddler drew it. Wiped off with makeup remover, left red streaks. Second try? Still crooked. Third time I rested my elbow on the table and drew tiny dashes instead of one line. Finally got semi-decent wings after like 15 mins. Threw on some brown eyeshadow and three coats of mascara.
The Finishing Struggle
- Brows: Pencil + gel combo, brushed upwards to look feathery
- Lips: Nude lipstick with clear gloss patted in the center
- Setting spray: Sprayed so much my hair got crunchy
End Result? Not Bad Actually
Checked the mirror expecting a trainwreck but damn – I kinda looked like her discount store version! The dewy skin + pink cheeks + sharp wings totally worked. My roommate walked in and yelled “Poki?!”. Only took 45 mins (plus cleanup time). Would I do it again? Hell yeah, but maybe practice the eyeliner drunk first so steady hands feel easier.
