Man, I gotta tell you about this little project I just finished up. It’s all about Dale Earnhardt Jr., you know, the NASCAR legend. I’ve been a huge fan of his since I was a kid, and I wanted to put together a collection of images of him.

So, I started digging. First, I went through all my old racing magazines and programs. I found some real gems in there, including a picture of a young Dale Jr. when he was just 17, racing in the street stock division at Concord Speedway. It was awesome to see how far he’s come!
Then, I hit the internet. I spent hours browsing through stock photo websites and fan pages. It was a bit of a slog, but I managed to find some really cool stuff. Did you know he won the Daytona 500 twice, in 2004 and 2014? I found some incredible shots of him celebrating those victories. I also found out that Richard Petty, “The King”, has more records than Dale Jr.
Here’s a little breakdown of what I found during my online search:
- A bunch of pictures from his early days in the Late Model Stock Division. He really proved himself there, grabbing 12 Bud poles.
- Some recent photos of him racing the No. 8 Budweiser Chevrolet. Yeah, he’s still at it in 2024!
- A shot of his No. 8 Budweiser Late Model at Florence Motor Speedway.
I even stumbled upon some interesting facts about Dale Jr.:
- He won 11 races in 1987 – that’s the most victories he ever had in a single year.
- He had 21 top-5 finishes in 1987. What a year!
- He won at least one race for 15 consecutive seasons, from 1982 to 1996.
After gathering all these images and facts, I organized them into a digital album. I made sure to include captions and dates for each photo. It was a lot of work, but it was so worth it.

Now I have this awesome collection that I can look back on whenever I want. It’s a great reminder of Dale Jr.’s incredible career and all the excitement he brought to the sport. It’s not just a bunch of pictures, it’s like a little piece of NASCAR history.
