How Good Was 2000 Milwaukee Bucks Season? Check Their Win Record!

Must read

So this morning I was sipping coffee wondering what to dive into, right? Suddenly remembered people arguing online about whether the 2000 Bucks were underrated or just okay. No clue myself! Figured hey, why not dig up their actual numbers? Pulled up that dusty laptop.

How Good Was 2000 Milwaukee Bucks Season? Check Their Win Record!

First thing – needed the basic season record. Typed “2000 Milwaukee Bucks wins” into my search bar like anyone else would. Got flooded with modern Giannis stuff instantly. Ugh. Had to hammer in “2000-2001 season” specifically and add “Ray Allen” just to get the right era popping up.

Found it after clicking like five useless links. Man, they only grabbed 42 wins that year. Honest? Expected way more hearing fans talk. Ray and Big Dog were cooking! But 42-40? Barely above water! My notes:

  • October to April: Basically .500 ball all year
  • At home? 26 wins – decent
  • On the road? Rough. Only 16 wins away

Then I hunted playoff stats. That stung worse. Got bounced quick in round one. Against freaking Indiana! Five games and done. Went back and forth checking multiple basketball ref pages just to be sure. Yup. Got blown out twice. Not the glory run folks pretend it was.

So what’s the take? They were fine. Average-good maybe? Good enough to make playoffs but nowhere near great. Ain’t no dynasty year hiding in the stats. Just shows you how nostalgia warps things! Folks see Ray’s smooth jumper and forget the messy details. Glad I checked the raw numbers instead of trusting the hype. Case closed.
