What a Disaster Start
So today I found my old bike rusted to hell in the garage handlebar grips fused onto the metal like they were welded. Goddamn stuck solid no way they’re sliding off normal.

First Dumb Move
Grabbed a flathead screwdriver jammed it under the rubber grip thinking leverage would work. Nope just tore chunks out the grip left nasty gashes looked like a dog chewed it. Rubber bits everywhere what a mess.
Oil Attack Fail
Took WD-40 soaked the crap outta both ends let it sit for 20 mins. Tried twisting pulling again felt exactly like before zero movement. Stuff just made my hands slippery couldn’t even hold the grip properly.
The Hammer Shocker
Alright fine got pissed off grabbed a hammer pounded on the end of the handlebar like a caveman. Made this awful CLANG CLANG noise neighbors probably thought I was building a tank. Grips didn’t budge an inch.
Heat Save Me
Remembered seeing some video about heat loosening stuff fired up my wife’s hairdryer blasted hot air under the rubber for 10 solid minutes smoked the room smelled like burning plastic worked like MAGIC.
Final Victory Dance
Grabbed pliers twisted left then right heard this disgusting squelching noise rubber peeled away like rotten fruit skin metal finally showed after years stuck inside sweaty grips nasty rust stains everywhere.

Now my hands covered in grime bike still wrecked but hey grips janked off mission accomplished.
