How I started playing
Last Tuesday I saw this app called Blossom Spelling Game when scrolling through app store recommendations. Thought to myself, “why not try improving my god-awful spelling?” Downloaded it right after breakfast while sipping burnt coffee.

My step-by-step process
Step 1: Picking words level
Opened the app and it asked for my difficulty. Since I misspell “necessary” half the time, I chose Medium. Saw three categories: Animals, Food, Science. Went with Food coz hey, who doesn’t like pizza?
Step 2: Petal arrangement mess
The game showed scattered petals with letters. Looked like my kid’s alphabet soup. Had to form “strawberry”. Dragged “S-T-R” petals together with my thumb, but the “A-W” part looked wrong. Deleted it like hitting backspace. Third try worked when I noticed petals glow when close.
Step 3: Blossom timer panic

A flower timer started shrinking fast! Nearly choked when forming “broccoli”. Missed the “C” twice – petals kept sliding away. Finally got it right as timer turned red. Sweaty fingers made it worse.
- Pro tip: Use index finger not thumb
- Messed up 4 times before realizing this
Step 4: Bonus points hustle
Got extra points for speed after “asparagus”. Felt like a genius until “cauliflower” happened. That “gh” silent letter crap? Total nightmare. Shouted “CHEAT” at my phone. Then the app showed word origin – turns out it’s from French. Well damn.
Step 5: Daily replay trick
Played 15 minutes before bed every night. Noticed I stopped mixing up “dessert” and “desert” after three days. Started screenshotting my score progress like a proud grandma.

What actually changed
After two weeks, my work emails have way less red squiggles. Boss asked if I took some course. Nah man, just spent lunch breaks making digital flowers bloom. Still can’t spell “restaurant” perfectly though – that silent “U” can burn.
